Sydney Morning Herald says, Google may lose Australian advertising sales from Fairfax Media Ltd. and News Corp. after it began listing real estate for sale on its Google maps service.
The newspaper says, Fairfax and News Ltd are independently weighing up whether to pull the "millions of dollars" they spend on buying key search terms from Google.
Google earlier this month began allowing aggregators such as Homehound and My Home to display their properties for free on Google Maps, the newspaper said.
According to AC Nielsen, nearly half a million people visit property websites everyday with Fairfax and News Ltd sites getting nearly 90 percent of traffic, the newspaper said.
