According to a recent survey by Evans Data Corporation, Google is said to be the top choice for many developers who are involved in location-enhanced applications for wireless devices. Google is been focusing on the mobile market over the last year, enhancing and introducing various new services and applications such as location-based services.

According to the president and chief executive of Evans Data. "Given that there will be approximately 3 billion mobile phone subscribers by end of 2007, Google sees tremendous potential in further extending their presence with content aimed squarely at this market." The common uses of location-based services are individual tracking and vehicle tracking.
