If your website is hit by Penguin, you will observe a fall in the traffic by today or tomorrow. To get well from the update, you will have to disown bad links or remove them physically. Google Updates Maps Tool with Multi-Stage Directions

User of Maps preview will have multi-stage instructions, gig times and flight reservations display in the maps themselves. Google has rationalized its maps feature, introduce the choice to get multi-stage directions, find future events at local venue, and view flight, hotel, and restaurant reservations.

The update affects Google’s Maps sample on desktop, which allow users to decide to improve to an premature version of the company’s subsequently major release of its maps product. Driving, walking and cycling directions can now have numerous destinations. Click a plus sign lets users search for innovative locations and add them to the base of the list. They can then be rearranging by click and dragging, with up to 10 locations visit in order.

Public move directions, though, are still limited to one start point and one end point. When setting up a trip to see some music, sports or a play, Google now shows users future events at that site.

Lastly, when a user sign in to their Google account search for an airport, hotel or restaurant which they have a reservation at, the site will now show that condition alongside the venue. Rejection of PageRank Updates This Year – Matt cutts

Everyone is waiting for page rank updates; here mattcutts mentioned that there is no more Page Rank Updates This Year. Google’s head of search spam, Matt Cutts, said on Twitter the past that Google won’t be approaching out a new Google Toolbar Page Rank update this year.

Niels Bosch asked on Twitter if we ought to wait for an update to Page Rank before 2014. In reply to that, Matt Cutts said, “I would be surprised if that happened.”

It has now been 8 months since the last Google Toolbar Page Rank update. In fact, the previous update was on February 4, 2013 and honestly, I think Page Rank is lastly dead at least the Toolbar Page Rank. I’d be astonished if there was one more Toolbar Page Rank update ever. Maybe Google will do one next year and then let it silently go away forever.

Here is Matt’s Reply from the Past:

Over the years, support for Page Rank has drop. Google never accessible a Google Toolbar for Chrome or some add-on to show Page Rank values. Google drop the Google Toolbar for Firefox in June 2011. Internet Explorer is the last browser to immobile have a Page Rank show accessible by Google, but the data that flow into that show hasn’t been efficient for over six months.

When we asked Google two months ago about when the subsequently update would come, Google had no commentary. Last mattcutts answered that there is no further Page Rank update This Year.

Google’s New Hummingbird Algorithm – Stage for The Future of Mobile Search

Google announced a product new algorithm for its search engine, called Hummingbird. Hummingbird, Google’s latest update, is no exception. The innovative algorithm represents the major change to Google’s search functionality in 10 years.

But Hummingbird is more than SEO and it’s in addition more than just search. Here are a few takeaways.

humming-bird-algorithmUpcoming of Mobile Search

One of the majority telling things about Google’s hot updates is that the company chose to demonstrate them with images of its mobile app, not its desktop site. More than everything else, Google over the past few years has been alert on making it easier for you to pull out your phone, ask Google a question, and get your reply as rapidly as possible. Hummingbird is just an addition of that.

This move in focus comes as a result of some very clear trend. Mobile users require search results faster, and they require them to be right away applicable. As we’ve noted before, the more mobile and less interface-heavy a form factor is, the fewer tolerant people are of awful experiences and unhelpful or spammy hunt results. This is as factual for smart phones as it is for future devices like Google Glass.

This, again, is why Google’s focus on voice hunt is so significant, and why it’s so intent on making it easier for users to have conversation with its search engine.

To Figure it Up, It Looks Like This:

  • Mobile is the prospect, so Google should be familiar to answering search queries in the most mobile-friendly way.
  • People are likely to be conversational with their mobile searches (“Where can I buy a new pair of footwear?”)
  • Ergo, the prospect of Google look for is mobile-focused and question-oriented.

It’s About Sense, Not Just Keywords

What Google is responsibility with Hummingbird is a move in focus away from keywords and towards intent and semantics, which are much more relevant to users? While the Google of a decade ago was alert on deliver search results based solely on queries, the Google of today is sketch insights from a diversity of other signals location, social connections, and even your previous searches.

In other words, stuffing your Web Pages with SEO friendly keywords isn’t leaving to cut it any longer. Or, as Google search guru Matt Cutts likes to put it, the Google of the future “is about things, not strings.”
